Rush Kane, known online as @kanekid, brings unmatched expertise in precision welding and fabrication to the world of custom golf. Renowned for his signature KaneGrip feeding technique and surgical TIG precision that earned him the nickname “The Welding Robot". Rush has been mastering his craft since 2007, following four years of intensive technical training.

At age 14, Rush began his journey in welding at a small-town tech center, and by 18, he had earned recognition as Utah’s top aluminum welder after winning at Skills USA. He spent over a decade as a precision TIG welder at Fluke Corp, specializing in highly technical micro TIG welding. Later, he took his skills to the TV show Diesel Brothers as the lead welder for custom, high-performance truck builds from seasons 4-7, seen nationwide. In 2020, Rush launched his own line of high-performance welding PPE, now trusted by thousands of welders worldwide for its durability, comfort, and design innovation. Rush also served as an instructor and touring educator for Lincoln Electric and WeldLabs, teaching advanced welding techniques to students and college faculty across the country. His projects have even extended to fine metalwork, including sculpting one of a kind engagement rings with gemstones for various clients over the years, a nod to his roots in the world of rare gemstones and fine jewelry, a story for another day.

His entry into golf came unexpectedly, after a custom putter collaboration revealed the power of combining metallurgy, physics, and micro TIG welding. From that moment, Rush reimagined what was possible in golf fabrication. Now, he handcrafts elite, tour-level putters with the same precision, soul, and innovation that defined his welding legacy. As a golfer and metalworker, he brings a methodical excellence to every project, aiming to deliver putters of exceptional quality and performance. Each putter is a one-of-one sculpture and a legacy in the making.
