ABOUT THE METAL ARTIST
As a professional in his industry of welding and fabrication - Rush Kane aka @kanekid known for his "kanegrip" feeding technique and as being a welding "robot", started his high precision welding career in 2007 after four years of training. Rush grew up in the rare gem world and around precious metals, making metallurgy a regular topic in his upbringing.
At 14 years old, Rush began his welding journey in his small town welding tech center. By 18 years old, he had advanced his welding skills and went on to podium at Skills USA Utah and was recognized at being the top aluminum welder in the state. After high school, he started work for 11 years as a precision production TIG welder in the temperature calibration and high pressure "micro tig" division at Fluke Corp. Rush was then invited to work as the lead welder for the TV show Diesel Brothers, season 4-7, specializing in all after-market automotive modifications for outrageous show trucks and custom builds for celebrities. In 2022-23, he traveled teaching advanced weld training to schools and tech colleges across the US. On the side, Rush welded/sculpted beautiful engagement rings with set in gemstones and other various projects.
Rush was asked to collab on a Golf Putter with a putter maker on instagram, this is where he realized he could utilize his expertise in physics, metallurgy, metal sculpting, micro tig welding skills, and abstract attention to detail to build tour level fitted Putters for customers all around the world. As a golfer and high precision metal worker, Rush has an enthusiasm that can only be described as methodical excellence.
